BONJOUR!

Bonjour. Welcome to my very first French Leçon (Lesson).

Let's Get Started:

Salutations...
Okay. First things first: In french there is a Familier form and Formal from.
Familier: tu
Formal: vous
Depending who you are talking to will change it. If use "tu" only if you are very close friends or family. EVERYONE ELSE is "VOUS" because vous is respectful. If you call someone like your teacher "tu" it's very very disrespectful.

Starting with Formal:

Bonjour, Madame ou Mademoiselle ou Monsieur... Comment allez-vous? (Hello, Mrs. or Ms. or Mr. How are you?)
They will answer by one the following

Très bien, merci. Et vous? (Very good, thanks. And you?)
Bien, merci. Et vous? (Good, thanks. And you?)
Pas mal, merci. Et vous? (Not bad, thanks. And you?)
ça ne va pas du tout, merci. Et vous. (Not good at all, thanks. And you?)

And after which you will reply similarly... Don't forget Merci!

Au revoir (GoodBye)

The Familier:

Bonjour! or Salut! (Hello or Hey)
ça va? (How are you?)

They will respond in the very same way that the formal way did.

Salut. (Bye)
Ciao (Bye)
à plus (see you)
à demain (see you tomorrow)
à bientôt (see you soon)
à tout à l'heure (see you really soon)
à tout (see you soon)

As you can see there are many ways to say goodbye in the familiar way...

Next you will learn how to say your name and where you live.
